Principles for the handling of personal information

In order to strictly protect the privacy of personal information and ensure the freedom of communication in the information age, KORENS EM stipulates the following policies for protecting personal information. KORENS EM’s personal information protection policies may change according to changes in the law or internal policies. Providers of personal information are encouraged to regularly check KORENS EM’s website.

1. Goal for collecting and using personal information KORENS EM’s goal in collecting personal information is to provide optimized, customized service for providers of personal information visiting our website. KORENS EM provides a variety of services. Based on the personal information provided by customers, we are able to select more useful information to offer to our customers.

2. Types of personal information collected and method of collection KORENS EM collects personal information which is necessary to provide services. Personal information collected includes name, date of birth, sex, address, contact information, e-mail address, education, experience, and certifications. Additional information may be requested in order to provide specific services. The information provided will not be used for purposes other than providing the relevant service or for purposes not announced in advance.

3. Storage and disposal of personal information The personal information you provide to KORENS EM is continuously retained for the period of time you are receiving services from KORENS EM and is used to provide services. However, when the goal for which personal information was collected from the provider is achieved, it is permanently deleted from the hard disk in a manner that cannot be restored, so that it cannot be read or used for any purpose.

4. Provision and sharing of personal information By principle, KORENS EM does not share any personal information provided with other individuals or organizations. However, there may be an exception if the provider of personal information agrees, or in the case that an individual violates KORENS EM’s terms of service or uses KORENS EM’s services to cause legal damage or harm public morals, if it is decided that it is necessary to share personal information in order to take legal action or in the case that there is sufficient evidence. KORENS EM may share personal information provided with our business partners in order to provide better service. In this case, before the personal information is collected or shared we will inform the provider of who our business partner is, what information they need and for what reason, how the information will be protected and managed, and how long it will be kept, and seek agreement from the provider. If the provider does not agree to the sharing of their personal information, we will not collect additional information or share it with our business partners. If information is needed for statistical management, academic research, or market research, the information will be provided in a form which cannot be used to identify individuals.

5. KORENS EM will provide a swift, sufficient response to any concerns from the providers of personal information.

6. Duty of notification If the contents of these guidelines for the handling of personal information are added to, deleted from, or changed, we will announce the changes in the “Notifications” section of our website at least 7 days before the revision. However, in the case of important changes such as the collection or use of personal information or sharing of information with 3rd parties, the changes will be announced at least 30 days before the revision.
